[ English ]

In texas hold’em, the first step is to get the game started, and for this the players put out a set amount of cash. ‘Posting the blinds’ is the frequently used expression for this play. In the following step, the croupier shuffles the deck of cards and gives out two cards face down to each player. A regular deck of 52 playing cards is used. After the deal, there is the initial sequence of wagering. This round is typically known as a "pre-flop".

Following the 1st wagering sequence, the top card is thrown away. This tossed aside card is the "burn card", and this is done to ensure there is no dishonestly. The following 3 cards are then dealt face up on the poker table. These cards are referred to as ‘the flop’. Now follows a second sequence of betting, after that the croupier tosses out an additional card and flips 1 more card onto the poker table. Following this, competitors can use the sixth card to create a five-card poker hand.

Another sequence of wagering follows, and in a good many styles of games, here is where the bet size doubles. There is a further round of throwing away a card, and a closing deal of a card face-up on the poker table. This is called the "river". Players can now use any of the 5 cards on the table, and/or the 2 cards that they are holding, to create a 5card poker hand.

To wrap it up there’s an additional round of wagering. Then, all the players left start to show their hands. This is describe as the "showdown". Clearly, the bettor who holds the best hand is the winner. When players have even hands a splitting of the winnings is used.

Hold’em is a simple game to pick up, but to achieve ability one needs a lot of studying.
